I received a call this morning for Loan Modification on my house. I spoke to Jeremy Jones at x267. After asking me information about how much money I pay for bills and my income. He had paused for a couple of minutes and said that I was pre-approved for a 30 year fixed loan at 2.3%. Like my dad said to check out things especially when it sounds to good to be true. He sated that there would be no cost to me for closing and no hidden fees. If I wait to go on the fast track it would cost $495.00. I stated that I don't have the money and would probably have it in a month. It would then be $998.00 unless there is a special during that month. I have learned to check out company's from the Better Business Bureau from past experience. It's a shame in times like these that people want to SCAM people out of their money. I asked them would my loan change from FHA to Conventional.
He stated that they would prepare the papers to be sent to the bank. The bank is suppose to change my current interest rate to the new rate because this is suppose to be a federal program that President Obama just approved. I repeatedly asked it I would keep my current bank. I was told that nothing would change except the interest rate.
