I'm very disappointed in the services provided by this company. I was planning to travel during the holidays (a have a web development company) and decided to see if I could get my small laptop computer fixed. A friend gave me a coupon for a free diagnostic from Sassy's computer and I drove all of the way out there (a 30 minute drive for me). The owner originally thought it was the hard drive and I asked him to let me know how much it would cost to fix and I'd decide if it was worth it (I already had a functioning computer). A couple of days later I called and he said I had a compressed file on it and it would only cost $60. I was thrilled that I would get a another functioning computer for $60. I asked several times, "that's all". He said "yes". I went and picked it up and immediately plugged it in and turned it on went I got home. It started fine but as soon as it launched I got that horrible "blue screen" and it immediately crashed. It would start again, then crash. Start than crash. I tired to start it about 5-6 times but it crashed every time. I called Sassy back and told them what happened. They said, "We were trying to save you money. We need to reinstall the windows software so it will be another $40 dollars since it costs $100 to reinstall windows. I said, "but that's not what you said. You said this was the problem and it would fix it". "No, that fixed THAT problem, now we need to reinstall windows". I said, "Let me get this straight. You said it would cost $60 to fix. Now I'm out $60 and I don't have a working computer. And now I'm supposed to give you more money? How do I know it will work then?" After that we'll talk. Well I tried and tried and eventually got my computer to stay on long enough to reinstall windows and then it crashed. I realized that it was a bad hard drive. I called the owner back and let him know that it still didn't work. He refused to refund my money, although I had a free diagnostic and although he gave me a computer back THAT never worked. EVER. He even had the nerve to tell me that he got it to turn on. I said, that's not what wanted, a computer that would turn on and immediately crash. You said it would cost $60 dollars to fix and you didn't fix it. I wish I had gone to a company that had a good reputation. I wish had gone to Charlotte Street Computers. I had called them and asked how much it would to cost to look at my computer, and he said "$60, but that money would go toward fixing it." At least they were honest about it and probably would have diagnosed it correctly from the beginning.

A customer came into our store with a free diagnostic coupon; I after looking at her notebook at the counter I told her she may have a bad hard drive based on the way it was performing. She said the hard drive had already been replaced! Based on that information, I felt it was a potential software issue. We took the notebook in and found the hard drive was almost full and most of the data was in a compressed state. We called the customer back and said we felt we could uncompress the drive and this may fix her problem, the cost would be our bench rate which is $65.00, we were trying to keep her costs down, she agreed. Uncompressing the drive filled the rest of it up. The notebook did boot to windows after that and we DID NOT get a blue screen so we called the customer and told her it was done but we also told her a format and reload would be the best thing to do since the hard drive was almost full. She picked up the notebook. I received a call a day or two later and she said it was giving her a blue screen again. I told her to bring it in and we need to format and reload it. The cost to reload is $95.00 but I would apply the original $65.00 and she would just owe $35.00. She became enraged and acted as if we were trying to cheat her. I tried to explain we were trying to save her money by just uncompressing her drive but apparently it needed the reload and there was a $35.00 additional charge for that. She would not bring the computer back in and there was NO talking to her. If I had done the Format, I would have discovered her hard drive was bad after all. Remember this was my first diagnosis- but I dismissed it due to the fact she said it had been replaced. Had she brought it in and I realized her hard drive was bad I would have refunded her money. However, she did not give me that chance. I hate that a customer left our store feeling like this, but as I said there was no talking to her after that.
