Review 4/19/2008
Bottom line up front, I had the exact same experiences as kathleen and tkbender. DO NOT USE THEM!!
They are a scam attempting to make excuses to bleed you of your money.I had terrible connectivity that was very slow and continually kicked you off after a couple minutes. I was signed up for a couple months. When I called to cancel my service due to a move they would not provide me with a cancellation confirmation number. I specifically stated to them at the time that I was moving out of state and would no longer need their service since they asked as to why I wanted to cancel the service. I then asked for a letter in the mail and they stated that was not their policy but assured me the account was cancelled and I would not recieve any further charges. After settling from my move I checked my statements and realized they did not charge me for the month I called in on but the charges to my account started back up the following months thereafter. I immediately called to inquire into the charges and they stated that when I called I received a "special move promotion" that credited the month during the move but would start back up after that month. I got a large run around about what was written on the computer, and why did I not insist on speaking to a Supervisor to get a cancellation number. They even attempted to provide me with the very same "moving promotion" numerous times. After repeatedly stating that I cancelled the account long ago the indiv. finally came back with "oh, so you do not want to cancel your service, we are very sorry to hear that, here is your cancellation number" which was suspicious since it was 17 digits long. They then proceeded that they would have to talk to the Supervisor to get a refund approved. I recieved music for a minute, then dead silence for over two minutes as if I was hung up on. Eventually the very same person with a very distinct voice quietly got on introducing herself as the Supervisor and denied the refund due to the "special move promotion" and assured me the account was cancelled and that I had a number. After more run around the "Supervisor" stated that I should have insisted on asking for a Supervisor when I attempted to cancel the account months prior. I then asked her for her Supervisor and she stated that she did not have one. I debated with her about not having a boss and she said she was the "end of the line and was not going to pass me on to anyone higher". Our conversation ended.
