Don’t you love when any kind of construction work around the house goes well? When you don’t have to worry about anything… good feeling!
I have a really old house, from around 1930’s which my late father left me. It is obviously very old and needed a lot of attention, but except that I wanted to do some sort of modern expansion – to have the mix of old and new architecture in one usual suburban yard.
Renovation of the initial house was done about 4-5 years ago, but I had a lot of problem with my contractor in that time. So for this expansion I’m planning, I searched a long time until I found a good one.
Soon after I had the winner – it was Hi-Tech Design, a long renown company. At start I saw that there was some good karma around the whole thing and that everything will turned out good. It was just a hunch.. But a darn good one!!
One of the main design flaws with the old house is that she has a small amount of daylight because of the very small windows of course. So from this extension I wanted big glass openings which will provide me and my family good natural light during the day.
Initial explanations went quickly and there was total understanding instantly.
So they started working on this. The size of this extension is about the size of a large living room for instance. Construction went very good with a good tempo. Workmen were very nice people with whom you could talk and explain exactly what you want, and they WILL listen to you. Love those guys.
Everything was finished in record time for about a month as I recall. I was blown away how good that turned out. My family also. Complete happiness all around, especially from the kids of course.
Hi-Tech really did a fantastic job, and this is by far the best experience I had with any contractor. I recommend them to you completely!! Thank you very much again.
