7/28/09: I am very disappointed that I decided to look into Babyshower4u.com’s background AFTER placing an order! I spent quite an amount of money on items for my sister’s baby shower (9/27/09) such as labeled tin candles, personalized invitations and thank you cards. I placed my order on 7/22/09. The following day I received a prompt e-mail from “Loida” advising that once a rough draft was drawn up she would send me proofs for approval. She also mentioned that my purchase would be processed under a sister company named, “JJ Clothing.” This transaction cleared on 7/24/09; and to date, I have yet to receive any type of communication from this bogus “small, family business” located in San Jose, CA. ***PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM BABYSHOWER4U.COM!!!*** This website also provides a “chat box,” however, both Loida and Michael (the only 2 options to choose from) are ALWAYS offline. The “chat box” also provides a “callback request” form that will never be answered! How dare this fraudulent company take advantage of people’s hard-earned money by making empty promises, advertising false information regarding turnaround and delivery, filling orders inappropriately and in an untimely fashion, providing horrific customer service and most of all for wasting innocent people’s time and effort!!! This company is OBVIOUSLY not equipped to run ANY type of business, and Loida is a highly inconsiderate and poor business woman! I am lucky in that I still have time to correct this conflict and make a purchase elsewhere, with a REAL business! Please pay heed: again, do not purchase anything from this “highly illusive” website! I’ve had to file a “Dispute Form” with my bank in order to receive a full credit - THANK GOD!! My bank, in turn, will perform an investigation and seek the funds from this rated "F" company! This has been a huge inconvenience, and I hope you don’t allow the same thing to happen to you! I've learned MY lesson, and I should have NEVER ordered from a website that doesn't publicize a telephone number!
7/29/09: I've decided to edit my original review to, once again, warn the public about "babyshower4u.com." For anyone interested in a phone number for this business, I've come across 3 phone numbers: (408) 838-8204 (provided by my bank), (408) 272-0624 (retrieved from on-line and listed as "Loida's" home telephone number) and (408) 937-1868 (retrieved from on-line white pages). Now there are several listed addresses for this business as well. The following address is a residential address and there is NO business being operated under it: 1438 Danby Avenue, San Jose, CA 95132-2308. As a matter of fact, the person I contacted here seemed alarmed and surprised and claimed he had never heard of "babyshower4u.com." The address on babyshower4u.com's web link is: 1421 Sierra Creek Way, San Jose, CA 95132 and the contacts there are "Loida L. Olivar" and/or "Michael Dalupo" or "Michael Thomas" (I've seen both last names associated with "Michael"). This address appears to be "Loida's" residential address. "JJ Clothing," the sister company, operating under www.jjclothing.com, has the following information on their website: 309 Great Mall Drive, Milpitas, CA 95035, tel.# (408)586-8702. Good luck to anyone out there experiencing the same as I, and I hope the information I have provided is helpful! Do not give up and allow this company to keep your money!! Cancel your order immediately and seek guidance/advice from your bank! If done on time, there IS a SOLUTION to your problem! :)
