Do not waste your time or money on these guys. Pay a little more and deal with a reputable business.
I am not a photo restoration expert, that’s why I hired a third party to do the work. American Photo Restoration's (APR's) “FAQs” page indicates a “10-working-day” turnaround. I placed the order on 12/05/2010 and received it on 01/07/2011 after calling and emailing several times to check the order status. I received the order January 7, 2011, and sent everything back the next morning—requesting a full refund in writing. They had thrown my order together at the last minute and sent an extremely poor quality product. I alerted APR by email immediately that I would be returning their product for a refund.
I have done my best to maintain open communication by email and by phone. They don’t respond to emails, and if I’m lucky enough to reach them by phone (no answering machine or voice-mail) they put the handset down on the desk and never come back.
I filed a complaint with the Los Angeles BBB. (APR doesn't respond to BBB complaints - Surprise!) APR gets an F from the BBB, and my hard-earned $132.
