PayPal holding my account hostage!
I have had my PayPal account since 2015. I have never had a issue. Recently I started to sell things on eBay for a source of income. I have shipped all my items and had great feedback on eBay. After calling PayPal to have them release payments on hold for delivers items I encountered a rude customer service rep. After not going anywhere I just decided I’ll just wait till the funds release after 3 days of the package delivered. Few hours of hanging up with paypal I get a email stating my account is on hold. The next day I called PayPal and they advice me my account is linked to other account from 2007. That’s 10 years ago ! I have never had account with PayPal before. I wouldn’t be stupid enough to open an account with PayPal if I owned them money. So after telling them this isn’t my account the following day the told me there is nothing they can do. If I want my account to places of hold I need to pay 2 balances of the other PayPal accounts. Very wired after getting off the phone with a rude customer service agent my account is on hold. What’s even more odd is I have spoke to other PayPal customer service reps the weeks prior to see if they could release payment holds so I could pay for shipping and this issue was never brought up. They refuse to tell me any other information. I have fold a complaint with the BBB and will take it further if nesssy. I have sent emails to PayPal to respond or I will be calling the state attorney office and a attorney for my legal rights.
