I wasn't sure about what NHE Certification was but when I Googled it, several NHE Certification scams came up. Anytime there is a quick fix for certification or education, always question if the program is accredited with the US.Dept of Education to ensure it's legitimacy.
I would need to know the name of the institution that is offering you the education for the certification to locate a report but to follow up on test dates and legitimacy of either the institution or exam testing, contact the US. Dept of Education using the link below:

Fitness Certification agencies are not accredited with the U.S. Dept. of Education. They are independent from federal legislation. The NHE Certification Scam postings are not about NHE, they are about people scamming others with fake NHE study guides. NHE is a legitimate certification. Other really good ones are ACSM and NASM.

Personal trainer certifications are not regulated by the U.S.D.E., but if they were, the NHE certifications would be at the top of the list, amongst the other top three: ACSM, NSCA, NASM. Anyone can Google a name and get the same information... it's all out there. I think N.K. was looking for some actual understanding of NHE and not for someone to do a quick two-minute search on Google and report back.
From my experience in the personal trainer industry, these four certifications are the only ones you should consider.

I was recently certified by NHE at Gold's Gym this past week and I'm just waiting for my certificate. I didn't know much about personal training certifications but researched a great deal and choose NHE over ACE, which was highly recommended to me. The exam was tough but fair and you can retake the exam for free if you fail it. That was the deciding factor for me because that particular policy help eliminate any doubt that the exam was designed to fail everyone so that NHE could make money on retakes. They don't charge for retakes and there are no waiting periods. I think they really want everyone to pass.

I took the NHE program and passed on my first try. I think they should allow more time on the exam because it’s pretty brain racking material. You certainly need to know what you are talking about if you expect to pass. They don’t allow you to fake it. DUH.
I am now NHE and ACE certified. My ACE certification will get me a job anywhere, just about. I took the NHE program because everyone kept saying how hard it is and so having passed it is totally awesome.

NHE is very expensive, but they have very good instructors and they teach you all of the in's and out's of the personal trainer industry. ACE is o.k.

I must agree that NHE is probably over priced, but I have written in the past about how really good my NHE instructor was and how impressive the content was. If NHE lowered their prices to match NASM, no one would be able to match what they are doing.
