I was contacted by Vacation Experts International (VEI) & watched their Webinar presentation for options to get out of Timeshare maintenance fees...phone # 1-855-622-6822. out of out of TN. Does anybody know how legit they are, or is this another scam?

I have not known of any of these businesses that were legit. We were lucky, the company took back our two weeks but we kept one and use it whenever we can. I would check with the Better Business Bureau where the company is located to see if they have a record; otherwise, save your money!

I feel even the best of timeshares are not worth 10% of the price they are selling it for. The best is never go close to them. I owned one of the most prime timeshare units in NYC and still could not get 25% of the price I paid for it. Luckily the company bought it back for half the price I paid and I still feel it was one of the great escapes I had.

I would be very cautious. I deal with many victims of these organizations daily. Any service that requires upfront money or an "advertising fee" is generally a scam. The only time you should ever pay any amount upfront is when you are utilizing a misrepresentation service which includes a retainer for legal services. There are legitimate companies, we are usually boggled down with clients, as we don't advertise outside referrals of existing clients. Anyone needing advise on a situation, I'll be glad to help or refer you to the right place.

The best solution to the dilemma of how to get out of timeshare is the cancellation of the contract. Timeshare cancellation is the most effective way to get rid of a timeshare. By cancelling the contract you can relief yourself from all the payments and obligations that you have when you own a timeshare, plus you won’t have any further strings attached to the resort. There is good information at http://www.timesharescam.com/
